I’ve always liked this movie. A lot. Not many people do. When I heard it was now out on Blu Ray I jumped at the chance before reading reviews.. I’m not a substantial fan of ‘the grain is supposed to be there’ argument. Maybe it is maybe it isn’t but I don’t care for it. Like Fargo, though not as terrible, the backgrounds in most every scene ‘crawl’ with noise (grain? ) which to my peruse looks like a digital ‘distortion’.

Call me some rube who doesn’t know about such technology if you wish, but when I eye movies like Unlit Knight and King Kong that peruse like consuming photographs I inquire the same with any movie I am PAYING money for, let alone paying for twice. When I ogle older movies like 2001 A Area Odyssey witness like it was filmed yesterday it’s hard to stomach a transfer such as this.

I have seen worse transfers I verbalize but my rant doesn’t raze there – they saw fit to include the standard def version of the movie which is a nice trinket fair? Well, yes and no, the commentary is ONLY included on THAT version of the movie.. which I guess makes some sense because I honestly don’t consider the Blu Ray version is up to par anyway.

If you have the dvd version of this movie, I would pass on this transfer and set aside the $20 for studios that actually lift the time to remaster the footage instead of slapping a 1080p logo on a Blu case and hoping that it is enough – it isn’t.

I HAD THIS FILM IN SD AND WATCHED IT MAYBE 6 OR 7 TIMES IN THE PAST FEW YEARS. I FINALLY DECIDED TO JUMP ON THE BLU RAY AND Contain ME IT’S REALLY WORTH THE SWITCH THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BD I Gather IT LOOKS AS IT WAS Slash THIS YEAR, Lift IT YOU CERTAINLY WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED Myth,Relate QUALITY,SOUND QUALITY,EVERYTHING IS WORTH EVERY CENT AND BY THE Method Ticket IS VERY CHEAP.
